Donors

Donors and their reasons A number of members of the community have supported the purchase of the land generously. Whilst the company does not wish to create a memorial garden, several individuals did have specific reasons for their donations, so we have provided a space where for them to explain should they so wish. Other donors have chosen to remain anonymous. If you wish to donate, a standing order form can be found on our downloads page for regular contributions. Even £1 or £2 per month can be a great help to us.

The reasons for my donation to Shipton Gorge Limited were that I felt the community should own this piece of land to protect it from development. It’s a view that many people living in the village have held for a number of years and I am pleased that this has now been achieved. I also know that my mother felt the same way in her lifetime, and the successful acquisition of the land amounts to a lasting memory of her commitment to Shipton Gorge also.
